As a co-founder of Signs United, I am thrilled that we have such a diverse membership of sign devotees from across America and all over the world. I came to this passion as a photographer.

My photographs of vintage neon have been featured in exhibits at The Museum of Neon Art in Glendale, CA, The Perfect Exposure Gallery in Los Angeles and in Vienna, Austria. I have traveled far and wide to capture signs of bowling alleys, motels, bars, coffee shops and liquor stores to try and highlight their design and artistry and because these signs truly are time capsules that might not be there the next time I pass by. They are works of art that deserve to be protected and celebrated.

I have been a Los Angeles resident since 1988 and have fallen in love with the history of the city, focusing my lens on the vintage signs and historic buildings in the City of Angels. In my day job, I am a Story Editor Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering, the theme park design and development division of The Walt Disney Company.

Will Hansen

Since as far back as I can remember I have always had a fascination with all things related to advertising and anything vintage – This is the perfect combination for my sign obsession. I enjoy building relationships with my fellow sign enthusiasts, traveling and capturing unique images of signs. But mostly, I look forward to potentially having just a little part in preserving these pieces of art.

When I’m not traveling, I’m a brand and marketing design leader.

Mike Zack

I am so proud to be one of the original founders of Signs United, for as we grow, we see not only the amazing works of art our members create, but also the good we’re doing towards the preservation of neon and other vintage signs throughout America and the world.  And although my love of storytelling through photography encompasses my other work with models, landscapes, and street photography, there is nothing quite like capturing the image of a beautiful vintage sign in just the right light.

When not taking photographs, I write for the entertainment, education, and theme park industries, and work as a successful realtor in the San Fernando Valley.
